Last year, I wrote an article about syncing form sets through Nexus. You can find it here. Imagine you have a well established Origin project with 10s or even 100s of form sets. Check out the example I have below.
Look at how small that scroll bar is? There are saved form sets for over 500 functions in this list. There is no way I am opening each form and hitting Save As to save copies into Nexus Project storage. Lucky you, we have a better method.
I'm focusing on just my Volume model form sets and Numeric Colour Sets for this exercise. Look at how I've selected just Volume forms related to the NVG model,, then selected the header line for Numeric Colour Sets:
This is the easy part - to bring the selected form sets from my local Project to the Nexus Project level or the Nexus Workspace level, simply copy and paste! Ctrl + C, click on the Nexus Workspace tab, then Ctrl + V. Now we see the copied forms in the Nexus Workspace tab!
If we look at the Vizex Layer Types in the main Origin interface, we can see Volume formsets for NVG in the root project and in the [Nexus Workspace] subfolder. Anyone else who synchronizes with a Nexus project in this workspace will see the same Volume form sets. If they want to apply Numeric Colour sets, they will also have access to the forms I copied over.
This is a key ease of use improvement that our development team implemented. Here's to making your MMOB life easier!
