If you attach a project created in Micromine 21.5 or before, you will be asked if you want to upgrade the form set database to the latest version (Figure 1). Form set databases created in these versions are version specific, so they require an upgrade to be used in a current version. Micromine Origin & Beyond versions 2022 and later all use the same form set database so projects created in these versions don't require an upgrade when updating the software.

An explanation of these three options is as follows:
Upgrade the project to the latest version - this will upgrade your form set database file (FLDVAL***.BDB) into one that is compatible with the current version.
Evaluate project upgrade to the latest version - this will open the project with your form set database in read-only mode. You can see and open forms that exist in the old form set database, but any changes made will not be saved; this is made clear with a banner warning (Figure 2).

Don't upgrade the project - this will cancel the upgrade and you will not be able to open the project.
