Importing ioGAS Files into Micromine Origin

The users can import ioGAS data directly into Micromine Origin for visualisation and further analysis.

How to Import

1. Go to File → Import → ioGAS.

   

2. Select your .gas file.

   • A .gas file is a ZIP package containing:

     • a mandatory CSV data file

     • a mandatory XML metadata file

     • optional version and workspace attributes

3. Choose your Output file (typically a .DAT point file).

   

4. Optional:

   • Auto open file for editing — opens the result in File Editor.

   • Load points into Vizex — displays the imported points as a point layer.

What Gets Imported

• All point data from ioGAS

• Symbol colour, shape, and size fields

• A built-in symbol set matching ioGAS styles

Micromine will display the imported data as standard point data, ready for mapping, filtering, and analysis.
