Oriented Structure is a layer type used for visualising downhole structural measurements in Vizex. This function gives you the option to use either alpha and beta or dip and dip direction measurements for viewing structural data. To use this layer type, please see the workflow below.
1. Add the file containing your structural data as an event file in your drillhole database.

2. Double-click Oriented Structure under the Drillhole heading in Vizex Layer Types. After choosing the event file from your database, select the format your measurements are in and assign the appropriate fields; this example is using the alpha and beta format.

3. Select the display mode; Apparent Dip will show as a 2D line, whereas True Dip will show as either a 3D triangle or disc.

4. Optionally, you can then apply a colour set to the structural data.
