1. Before importing the LAS, use Notepad to view the varies fields of properties within your LAS file, i.e. Caliper, Well name, Depth, Sonic density etc. Note down these fields, as they will later be useful for configuring the LAS table.
2. Go to File | Import | LAS (downhole). When the dialogue comes up, you can either import an individual well, or multiple well at the dame time. For this exercise, a LAS folder will be imported.
3. In the output section, The fields can either be auto mapped or manual mapped. In the case of this demonstration, manual mapping should be checked on. An output file does not yet exist in Micromine to input the data. This can be created by right clicking the blue icon, , and select the new file option. A New File dialogue will pop up.
4. In the File box, name the output file. Next, in the file structure section, you can append the fields which were noted in the first step. By noting down these different properties.
5. The final step is in the LAS mapping section. can be used to autofill all the fields that need to be mapped and matched with the table created in the previous step.
