If the date column in your collar file is in DD/MM/YYYY format (or something similar), it will most likely be written as a Character field type (Figure 1).

Trying to apply a filter on this field will yield some undesirable results; this is because Micromine sees this as a string of characters, and isn't able to read the numeric values. In order to filter holes by date correctly, your date column either needs to be in long format as integer data (e.g. 19930322) or as the Date field type in your DAT file (Figure 2).

Opening the Modify Structure form and changing the field type to Date will automatically reformat your date column into a YYYY-MM-DD format. After refreshing your drillhole database (Drillhole | Database | Refresh), you can now filter your drillholes by date. Note: you must write the values in the exact same format (Figure 3) and have your date column selected in the Collar Attributes of your drillhole database (Figure 4).
