Who Can Evict a User from an Active Session on a Licence?
- Users with the Admin role
- Users with the Manager role
- Users with Manage permission on the licence
- Users can evict themselves (e.g., if they forget to close Micromine Origin & Beyond on their office computer and need to access the seat from home)
In simple terms: Only Admins and Licence Managers can evict other users from active sessions. Regular users can only evict themselves.
How to Evict a User:
- Go to Micromine Nexus → Manage Licence → Licences, find the licence you're interested in, and click on it.
2. In the Active Sessions list, locate the user you want to evict.
3. Click the Evict button next to the selected user.
The user's status will change to Evicting.
What Happens Next?
- In Micromine Origin & Beyond, the evicted user will receive a message. If there is an available seat, they can choose to continue the session. Otherwise, they can terminate the session.
- Before termination, the user will have the option to save all unsaved layers.
- The evicted session will disappear from the Active Sessions list in Manage Licence after the page is refreshed.
- The Evict button is also available for borrowed sessions, but the user can only be evicted when they are online.
- Until the user comes online, Micromine Nexus – Manage Licence will continue to show the Evicting status.
