How to Synchronize Data Selections

Sync Selection options allow data selections to be synchronized between different (Vizex, Chart and File Editor) views of the same data.

Vizex

Right-click on a layer in the Vizex Layer Display pane and select a Sync Selection option to synchronize your data selections between different (Vizex, Chart, and File Editor) views of the same data.

To synchronize the selections in multiple layers, select those layers in the Vizex Layer Display pane and choose an option from the Sync Selection tool menu.

Option		Description
None		Sync Selection options for the displayed data are turned off. Selections are not being sent or received.
Receive		When someone else has changed the data selection in another synced view and Sync Selection Receive is enabled, the selections in the current view are updated.
Send		When data selections are changed and Sync Selection Send is enabled, those selections are sent if the same data is open in another synced view.
Both		Both Sync options for the displayed data are turned on. The current view is sending selections out and receiving selections in.

Chart

Click the Sync Selection button on the Chart toolbar and choose a selection mode. Selecting Both will allow the chart to both send and receive selections from other windows.

Table data

On the File | File Editor tab, in the Edit Mode group, the options on the Sync Selection menu allow data selections to be synchronized between different (Chart, Vizex, Drillhole Viewer and File Editor) views of the same data.

As a result, you can select data in any of the windows and it will be automatically selected in all other windows where synchronization is configured.
