How to: Using the Extract Unique tool

You may need this tool to output a unique name from a given field to a separate file. It may be necessary, for example, to find the length of lithologic codes in each well from the sampling file, performing this task manually may take a lot of time, for automatic execution use the tool FILE|EDIT DATA|FIELDS|EXTRACT UNIQUE.

Select the required file, in the sample field specify the field where the lithologic codes are recorded in order to sort the result by wells in the key field specify the column of well names, and in order to calculate the length of each lithologic code in the sum field specify the interval field.
