Description

In this article we will show you how to download, install and activate a network licence. The Network License Server (NLS) software is intended to be installed on a server. Please review the system requirements here.

Steps

Remotely access the server that you intend to host the network license.
Move the MICROMINE Network License Server Installer folder to the server.
Extract the files and run the installer to install the Micromine Network License Server.
Check Services.msc to ensure the service is currently running.
Ensure ports TCP/UDP 6200 and TCP 6000 are open between the Network License Server and PC’s.
On a client computer, launch Origin & Beyond. (If this is your first-time launching Origin & Beyond, Skip to step 8).
Go to Project | License | Add new license.
On the welcome window, click Start License Manager.
In the License Manager, click the Network Licenses tab, followed by clicking the Discover button (If the discover option does not work, you can click the + button and type your server in the following format 6200@IPAddress or 6200@Hostname).
Click the Activate License button and follow the prompts using your activation code provided by our licensing department.

Note: if you are using a dongle and encounter any issues activating, you may need to install the latest drivers – click here to download.
After Activation is complete, navigate to License Configurations and click Create new.
Select the license feature and complete the setup.
Ensure the configuration is ticked and close the License Manager.
License activation is complete, and your license server is ready to use.
