The Display Properties functionality allows multiple display configurations to be stored within a single layer and quickly switched between as needed. Rather than creating several copies of the same layer to visualize different fields, users can simply change the active display field and immediately see the updated results.
This can be particularly useful when reviewing and comparing data, such as estimation methods, geological attributes, or any other fields stored within the same dataset. Since the geometry remains unchanged, it is easier to focus on the differences in the underlying data.
The same workflow can be applied to block models, point data, drillhole samples, and other supported layer types. By reducing the need for duplicate layers, projects remain cleaner and visual comparisons become faster and more efficient.
To configure multiple display fields, double-click the layer, select Quick Display Options, add the desired display fields, and assign a colour set or display format to each. Once configured, click Apply and optionally Save As to reuse the settings later.
After the setup is complete, you can switch between the configured fields directly from the Display Field dropdown in the Display Properties panel, allowing you to quickly review different attributes without creating additional layers.
