The article outlines a process for enhancing data analysis by applying a color set to differentiate values in tabular data and using a lookup table to standardize data entry. The color set is automatically applied to table cells for better interpretation. The lookup table is created, compiled, and saved in .LDT and .lbn formats, then connected to the tabular data to allow for selection from a predefined list, minimizing errors. This functionality is applicable in various tables, such as those used for marking well flanks or selecting lithological codes, and can be utilized in Vizex by selecting objects that support lookup properties.
The first step is to connect an existing colour set to visually differentiate values corresponding to specific categories or conditions when viewing tabular data. The colour designations defined in the set are automatically applied to the table cells, making the information easier to interpret and speeding up data analysis.

The next step is connecting a lookup table. This is convenient when you need to select values from a predefined list directly within the cells of the tabular data. The lookup table helps standardize data entry and minimize errors.
1. Creating a Lookup Table
Go to the "File" tab.
In the "Lookup Table" group, select the "Create" tool. (Fig. 3.)

Set the table parameters:
- Table name. (Fig. 4.)

Columns and corresponding values (e.g., codes and descriptions).
Specify the required encoding (if necessary).
Save the table — it will be saved in .LDT format. (Fig. 5.)

2. Compiling the Lookup Table
In the same "Lookup Table" group, select the "Compile" tool. (Fig. 6.)

Select the created table and run the compilation. (Fig. 7.)
Figure 7.
The table will be saved in .lbn format. (Fig. 8.)

3. Connecting the Lookup Table to Tabular Data
Open the required tabular data.
Create a new field in it with the corresponding name. (Fig. 9.)
Figure 9.
Right-click on the field (or column header) to which you want to link the lookup table.
Select "Connect Lookup Table". (Fig. 10.)

Find and select the corresponding .lbn file. (Fig. 11.)

This functionality can be used in various types of tables, such as:
Collar — for marking well flanks (e.g., west, east, etc.).
Lithology — for selecting a lithological code from a predefined list, which appears in the cell during editing.
Using the Lookup Table in Vizex
Go to the Vizex window.
Select the required object on the screen — this can be:
Point;Стринг;
Any other object that supports properties with lookups.
In the default "Properties" window on the left, find the field related to the lookup table.
Expand the dropdown list — the values will be displayed in a decoded format according to the lookup table (.lbn).
Select the required value from the list.
