If your objective is to design a waste dump, in Micromine Beyond there are two different tools available: The Waste Dump Modeller and the Pit Design tool. The main difference between both is that with Pit Design tool, one can design a ramp on the dump.
The Waste Dump Modeller allows you to model a dump based on either the Dump Top Level (RL/Z) or on the Target Volume (m3). The required inputs ere an Initial Toe Boundary and a topography.
After running the tool, the outputs will include a Solid and a Report file. You will also be able to generate a surface and contours.
A warning dialog may pop up depending on the parameter added on the Model Based on area.
This message indicates that although the dump has been designed, the boundary and the topography limit the possibility of generating a dump of the specified size. Instead, a smaller dump will be generated.
On the report table you can have an overview of all the dump parameters, including the maximum volume and the top surface elevation.
The Pit Design tool (both Dynamic and Manual) can also be used to design a Dump. Just ensure that the Design Mode is set to DUMP:
When using this method, remember to guarantee that the dump fully intersects the topography, otherwise, there will be issues generating the final solid.
