Let's say you have gone through your sections to identify a vein to model. After coding and running that in our Vein Modeling tool, you get this message: “There must be at least one value in the Exclude list.”
The reason is that the spline works by placing pins at carefully selected points along a curve, and then bending the spline so that it makes contact with each of these points. Points residing on the top and bottom vein surfaces will be assigned a value of 1 and -1, respectively. In this case, Micromine cannot place those pins or distinguish where to place those points to identify the excluded part.
To overcome this issue, we need to go to the Drillhole tab and use 'Insert Missing Intervals' to insert missing intervals into this interval file.
Now we can run our tool and specify the blank as excluded, which allows those points (1, -1) to be created. It is always good to have that option enabled to monitor progress.
