When dealing with a mineralization zone that is faulted or folded, where these structures occurred prior to the mineralization event, we can create weighted trends and integrate them into our estimation process. To do this, we make use of the Unfold Trend Model tool.
Within this tool, we select our wireframe to create structural trend files in the .mmstf file format. These files essentially represent a dynamic anisotropy model composed of ellipsoids. We simply define the range, which signifies the standard deviation of the trend distribution, and the strength, which denotes the stretching factor along the Z direction. Properly setting the Trend Parameters is essential to accurately represent trend variations. If these parameters are set too large, sensitivity is lost, while setting them too low results in a larger model.
Subsequently, we can incorporate this variable search trend into our estimation process. It's crucial to ensure that the attribute fields reference an omni-directional variogram created using the same trend model.
Alternatively, you can unfold your block model using the trend model we just generated. To do this, navigate to "Block Model," then select "Unfold" and choose "Unfold via trend model." Fill in the necessary parameters.
